Rob Smith Bio

His debut album, ‘Throwing It All Away’, was released in 2008 and spawned
three radio singles.
The follow-up, 2010’s ‘The Juliana Field’ received great critical acclaim
and spawned an extensive tour which saw the Dubliner play all across
Europe and North America.
The following summer, a live EP, titled ‘Live in New York & Dublin’, was
released and was in the top 50 in the Irish iTunes Charts.
It wasn’t until February 2015 until the release of next single, the
football inspired ‘Dale Boca Juniors’ – a departure in sound taking Smith
closer to punk, which was a commercial top 25 hit in Argentina – where
Rob has always had an enormous audience.
The compilation album ‘Snapped Strings & Hangovers’ was released in South
America in May 2015.
Smith is also an in-demand DJ, having spun in cities such as Liverpool
Stockholm, Barcelona, New York, Buenos Aires, Frankfurt, Milan to name but
a few.
He is currently a resident DJ in The Workmans Club in Dublin.
